Nursery Sessions
In our nursery, children can stay either mornings, afternoons (15 hours) or all day (30 hours). Our times are:
15 hours Nursery: 8.45am -11.45am or 12.15pm -3.15pm
30 hours Nursery: 8.45am – 3.15pm (Lunch can be a school meal at £12.50 per week – menus given in advance or packed lunch)
All 3-4-year olds are entitled to free 15 hours provision. You may be eligible for free thirty hours provision if you meet the criteria. We require a code prior to starting. Alternatively, you can pay £75 per week, if you wish your child to stay for the whole school day.
We admit children following their 3rd birthday.
Eligibility for 30 hours
To be able to access the extra hours both parents need to be working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family), and;
- Each parent earns on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage
- Earns less than £100,000 per year (when one parent in a household has an income of £100,000 or more, that family will not be eligible to take up the extra free hours).
‘Working’ means both employed and self-employed persons may be eligible.
You do not need to actually work 16 hours a week, but your earnings must reflect at least 16 hours of work at National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage. This will be at the new rate of National Minimum Wage from April 2023 which will be:
- For ages 23 and over £10.42 per hour
- For ages 21-22 £10.18 per hour
- For ages 18 to 20 £7.49 per hour
Families may also be eligible where one parent gets benefits relating to caring responsibilities or a disability and the other parent is working. The current entitlement of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks (570 hours) of free early education for all three- and four-years olds will still be available even if you aren’t eligible for the additional entitlement.
