Thirty Hour Provision and Wrap Around

We currently have places for all sessions in nursery.

Thirty Hour Provision

Thirty hours free childcare for working parents of three and four year olds is available.  This can be used alongside tax-free childcare or childcare vouchers.

The 30 hours extended entitlement is double the 15 hours currently available for all three and four year olds. The government is funding the extension of the free childcare to support parents who currently work, wish to return to work, or to increase their working hours, by making childcare more affordable.

Eligibility

To be able to access the extra hours both parents need to be working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family), and;

‘Working’ means both employed and self-employed persons may be eligible.

You do not need to actually work 16 hours a week, but your earnings must reflect at least 16 hours of work at National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage. This will be at the new rate of National Minimum Wage from April 2023 which will be:

Families may also be eligible where one parent gets benefits relating to caring responsibilities or a disability and the other parent is working.

The current entitlement of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks (570 hours) of free early education for all three and four years olds will still be available even if you aren’t eligible for the additional entitlement.

At Levendale we admit children at the start of each term, following their 3rd birthday. Please contact the school office for further information or to be added to our Nursery list.

15 hours

We operate a morning or afternoon nursery, for children who wish to join our setting for 15 hours. The morning session is from 8.45am to 11.45am and the afternoon session is 12.15pm – 3.15pm.

30 hours

If you would like your child to stay for 30 hours, children will access both the morning and afternoon session, starting at 8.45-9.00am and ending at 3.00-3.15pm. Lunch can either be a packed lunch from home or a school dinner at a cost of £12.50 per week. Parents will be given the menu choices in advance. Those with a 30-hour code, will need this in place prior to the child staying for this period or alternatively we charge £75 per week for the additional sessions over and above your 15 hour entitlement.
